Hello everyone... Today, I installed PopTrayU for the first time and also noted that Rules tab is not being translated to spanish. I reviewed the installation folder and checked that my own language file is still there, with some new messages at the end (translated by some automated tool, Google Tra...

Can you post an example? Full e-mail with headers and your mail address turned into X@X.X (to avoid spam spiders collecting email addresses from web).

I'm pretty sure that 100% of them is spam, and you can filter out those messages with a rule based on "Content-Type:" header.

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

I'd like to know what does Renier think about this event and how does it changed his life for a while, as a Cape Town citizen.

gracie, as Rdsok said, Gmail is not a standard POP server, and you must not configure it to delete your mail once retrieved for the first time if it will be previewed using many apps or computers. I don't know if this can be done on Gmail's servers, but you have to configure Eudora to delete the ema...

There is an "or" separator for regular expressions: | (pipe)

So, your rule should be:

Subject/Reg Expr/viagra|cialis|bigger|blah|blah|blah|blah|all|in|1|row

It works, but there is a problem with this, and you'll find it in the thread linked by Rdsok 8)

I just brought it back to 19 KB and it still knows all current rules.
This was done by hand.
I'd like to see both versions of the file :o

SODA3 is a POP3 client, just like PopTray. SODA3 is not a notifier, it is a gateway service that filters out all mails that is not on your predefined whitelist, so you can read only relevant mails using your PDA's email client. I guess that it also manages up to six mailboxes as a single one. PopTra...

Off-topic: Where is Renier?

Possibilities:

- He is still on vacation in Australia (it's a big country).
- He lost his return ticket.
- He took flight 815.
- He is veeeeery busy with his e-commerce company.
- He got married!

Member number 2000 joined last week. Welcome!

It seems that more than 500 users have been banned/removed as spammers, robots or something. Probably users 2002 and 2003 are also robots; I hope not...

For the stats, this forum reached 1500 members about two years and a half ago.

I see some TODO items in the skinned example. Nice! :o I know that aesthetics is important, but I like things that are simple. As PopTray is minimized 99.9% of time in my workstation, the most important GUI part of it to me is the systray icon: the envelope with the coloured numbers, the rotating st...

PhotYG: My project to download Yahoo Group's photo albums

Hi! Years ago, I wanted to download all photos from some of the Yahoo Groups I joined or admin. From time to time I check the web for a tool that could get all those photos with one click, but there is none available. :( As it's a pain to right-click and "save image as" on every photo, I wrote my ow...

The only way PopTray could notify for that is to install some kind of daemon program that "translates" the content from a given folder to a mailbox format and "publishes" that as a POP3 server. I don't know if such a tool already exists... If it does, it must be a general one, that requires some cus...

Re: Messages showed as "read" in webmail after using Poptray

Is there a way to check messages by Pop Tray and the checked messages will not be showed ad "read" when I look using webmail afterwards? Poptray has to read the message to get some info to display and to apply rules, and that forces the server to mark it as "read" when POP3 protocol is used. As it ...

:o "contains" should work as you expect. If it doesn't, might this be an issue with that exclamation mark? :? BTW, be more specific in your rule, because your current one (using WildCard) will also delete a message from your provider with the subject "A warning notice about Spam!". If your provider ...

QUESTION TWO: Without going to preview, is there a way to show the sender's email address in the pane that shows "From" "To" "Subject" etc.....??? You can place the pointer over a sender's name and the email will be displayed in a tooltip box. The same for the To column. Truncated subjects are also...
