Deletion of messages

Post by charlesdb » Mon Sep 03, 2007 9:38 am

If I have a number of messages in my PopTray inbox and want to delete just one message, I highlight the message, a prompt comes up to ask whether I'm sure I want to delete the message, I click OK and all my messages are deleted. Same thing happens when I want to hide just one message. All the messages are hidden. This in itself is not too important, as a record of all the messages is kept in K9 - and also of course, I've downloaded the messages onto my mail client; but surely this shouldn't happen.

I've doubt PopTray is the cause of this issue.

Check that your email client is set to leave messages on the server and that it's not deleting them after they are read.

Also, check that your ISP is not deleting your messages after being downloaded by POP3.

Are you using AVG or an antivirus email checker?

Thanks. You were right. It works now I leave messages on the server.
