Getting socket error 11004

I am running windows Vista Home Premium.
Ram - 1GB
hard disk - 80GB
Internet connection - DSL Broadband, always on
On pressing desk top Pop Tray icon I get error message " Socket error 11004.". However when the browser (Mozilla Firefox) is running and the Pop Tray icon is pressed thereafter I get the Log in screen of Yahoo mail.
I do not get logged in automatically to the mail screen of Yahoo.
Please suggest solution.

Actually... DSL connections may be "always on" but they are not always active until the user "logs in" to their DSL account first... Windows does this in the background normally for your browser connection but not always for other programs.

So.. open a browser to ensure your connection is active... then test with Poptray to see if the Socket error 11004 is gone. If not.. add Poptray to your firewall permisions/exceptions so it will have the proper access to the internet.
