Rules: Skip subsequent

Post by Brownie127 » Sat Dec 06, 2008 8:59 pm

When a specific RULE executes, is there a feature or option to either 'Skip', or 'Continue' evaulation of lower-order rules?

If not, can it be added?

This is not such option... you may want to read the help file though to see if other options may help in whatever you are trying to do.

AND with OR

Post by Brownie127 » Thu Dec 11, 2008 5:21 pm

The reason this feature is requested (required) is it is normal practice to have rules with mixed AND + OR.

In Poptray, rules are either 'needed' (AND), or 'not needed' (OR).

It is impossible to build a rule with a AND b OR c OR d.

If you take example from Eurdora, you will appreciate this is a fundamental programming requirement.

If you 'add or disallow subsequent' poptray rules, as per my original request, then it is possible to build AND OR combinations.

Please advise if this can be accomodated with reasonable ease.

You didn't need to explain why you were wanting the feature... you asked if it existed and I provided that answer for you...

I'm not the programmer and this is not the feature request forum area... so I can't answer any of the last questions for you.
