Post by silver » Mon May 07, 2007 4:13 pm

Hi @ all,

I tried to install the IMPA-Plug-in but i got no sussess.

What Plugin should I use: Delphi or C++ ?

And how should I install this plugin? I read somethin like: "copy the dll" in the plug-in folder, but in my pop-tray installation there no plug-in folder. Only the folders: "Languages", "Rules History" and "Sounds" are available in the pop-tray main-folder.

Can you help me?

Thanks in advance

AFAIK -You should use PopTray Plugin Beta 6 located for download at the link below...

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/poptra ... g_mirror=0

Install and QUIT PopTray and RESTART PopTray.
In PopTray, OPTIONS, PLUGINS, check the box for IMAP, SAVE OPTIONS.
QUIT PopTray and RESTART PopTray.

In your IMAP Account, select the IMAP PROTOCOL, SAVE ACCOUNT.

Try checking your IMAP Account.

Hi Dave,

thanks again for your excellent support.
I download the plugin and installted it the way you describe.
But when I want to ceck my IMAP account I get the error message:

Socket Error # 10061 Connection refused

Since two months I work with K9 1.28 and it works great together with my pop-tray 3.2.

The settings are just the same as yesterday. The only thing I changed was the Protocoll from POP3 to IMAP4.

Should I also change another setting because I'm working with K9 ?

I do not use IMAP, so I can't give you any more advice on the setup for using it. Sorry.

You could SEARCH the forum for the word "IMAP" and see if what is returned might help you.

K9 is for standard POP3 email accounts only not IMAP. So if your ISP uses both... setup POPTRAY for POP3 access and your email client to IMAP...
