Did you ever find a solution, Renier? I am tired of VNC as well... too slow.

Thanks for the link :)

I will check it out; I tried a lot of Linux mail checkers out the last few months and they sucked. They were so bad that I really still believe that I only tried poor alpha software, and still cant find the good ones.

Give us a break, Bob. It is nothing but a tip and that kind of innocent knowledge should flow freely. You should stay silent, homaquebec even links to the original articles. Check out the openoffice forum, no copyright paranoia there, only free flow of knowledge and kind help. We all work a lot for ...

Re: Playing a Presentation document with background sound

If you want to create a slide show with Presentation of OpenOffice with a sound playing in background, you could be interested by this post and the thread that contains in on Open Office forum. I read that exact same tip at the end of a OOo 2.0 review a few weeks ago. You must have read that same r...

Does PopTray have to do that? Preview is text only, no virus should be able to spread from the preview. No HTML will be shown, no scripts will be activated, no pictures will be downloaded from the net. Files downloaded via preview should be checked by the virus scanner automatically, any file access...

I'm very happy you're still thinking to this project. I was afraid you were thinking to close it. But, now I'm looking forward again for another Beta after this 3.2b1. Thank you! Hey, you're still alive ilNebbioso? Great. I imagined that being a parent just sucked you dry from energy until you coll...

PopTray REPLACEMENT! :)

Don't worry, PopTray is still the best... on Windows that is! Lately I have been playing a little with Ubuntu Linux and I find myself spending more and more time using my Linux box. However, something is missing! My favorite POP3 checker! I have tried a few mail checkers this week, but they offered ...

I do appreciate your efforts and I downloaded the zip file, but I DO NOT HAVE the directory Program Files\poptray\plugins . What I don’t understand is: why it was so simple to set Gmail with outlook (excellent and simple and working). But with PopTray which is a very nice program it is so complicat...

You're right, the help and documentation in MS AS is outstanding, but they should make it very clear, visually somehow, that this is not a threat as such, but could be a problem under certain circumstances. A novice - and many novices will use this program now that MS bought it - will probably act f...

My scan found TightVNC (which I use) and Timbuktu (don't know where this came from). It is just remote control software I installe...

Translation tools

Hi there

Please provide me with links for the translation tools - I will translate PopTray during the following week, I have almost no time for it, but it is okay to translate PopTray during my coffee breaks etc.

Great to see that 3.1 is finally ready!

TIA,
Curtz
