A Google search to about a year back took me to a web site containing a listing of email tools. PopTray was a high rated product. Tried it, I liked it! Love at first byte. I never looked for another! :D A Perfect DSL E-mail companion.

Hi LegoBas, I have downloaded the hotmail plug-in several times. Sourceforge does show zero downloads, and right beneath the Hotmail Plug-ins it says: NOTE: The SourceForge.net Site Status page reflects the presence of a known issue with the accuracy of recent download statistics. Download statistic...

English Spelling

I thought you would like this one, Renier... A large amount of typing errors are caused by 3 reasons: 1. Carelessness 2. Spelling differences across countries (e.g. color/colour) 3. Nonnative English speakers trying to cope with illogical spelling rules I now strongly suggest we should try to simpli...

Bug Fix?

Hi Renier, PopTray beta 10 is very stable here. One problem I would like to see corrected is the fact PopTray "hangs" when checking if the mail server is not available or down. I have it checking 6 pop3 accounts here at home. If the server is down as it has been lately with these viruses floating ar...

Scores of 4.9?, 7.1? I must be in very bad shape here but I should not be suprised. Maybe its because I know my age in binary: 0 1 0 1 1 0 1 = 45.

Hi Renier, Yes, I have had a NVidia G-Force 2 installed on this computer here. It was removed and put in the kids computer. Hummm...Maybe that's why I'm having display problems with PopTray on these two computers but not the other three here at home. I will remove all traces on the NVidia drivers, e...

Hi quosego, I said I would not get into it here because I know I'll take a lot of heat for it, but since you asked... AdAware was an excellent program. But in working on their new version they left their users unprotected for almost 6 months. An eternity when it comes to online security threats. (No...

No worries, ilNebbioso. Checking for spyware is always a good idea. I recently cleaned a buisness computer that had 3 dialers installed, one keylogger (from a outside source) about 40 registry spyware entries and over 300 spyware cookies, some very nasty. The computer did not want to give up all thi...

Spyware :?: No spyware here (I'm a computer security consultant for businesses). I use and recommend PestPatrol and Spybot for home computers. The computer does a realtime scan of incoming cookies, spyware, maulware, dialers, etc and zaps them before it gets into the machine. I also use PC-cillin fo...

Display Problem

Hi Renier, Starting with beta 3, and now with beta 4, I have run into a display problem that I have not seen with any other program before. I open PopTray from the tray area to see my emails. After viewing I will close it with the "x". When I close it with the "x" PopTray will go back into the tray ...

Hi Renier, Thanks for beta 2. Working good here so far. Even the keyboard lights. I'll try my best to crash it, but it looks like it will be hard to do. Installer worked smooth. Using XP Pro with ADSL connection. Are you still working on the multi notify sounds? P.S. Have not played with the ...
