Seconded.

Thunderbird has pretty good spam filtering built into it too.

What sort of issues were being experienced with PopTray on Vista? The fact that PopTray uses the c:\program files\poptray\ directory for storing configuration files will certainly cause issues on Vista, as user does not have write access to anything under c:\program files\, and hence PopTray will no...

I believe 3RR0r was asking a legitimate question. At what precise time should he have asked if PopTray was compatible with Vista?? another week, month, 6 months? I didn't find the timeline in asking about new operating systems anywhere in my Poptray user manual. And Reiner responded by saying he do...

These type of posts always amuse me... Vista officially released Jan 30 or 31st... 4 or 5 days ago... Actually, the RTM (release to manufacturing) version was available to MSDN subscribers at the end of November last year already. I have had it running in VMware since then, to allow me to test appl...

Re: Voice over IP (VoIP) phone service

So, I would like to know if some members of this forum use VoIP alone and if they are satisfied with it. Il some users do not use VoIP but have information or comments about this service, I would be glad to know them. I use VoIP quite a bit at home. I have a Sipura SPA3000 VoIP adapter, and it allo...

Re: 3.2beta5 directory handle left open

View a message, save it to a folder, close the message window try renaming the folder -> error "locked by another process" using procexp.exe to find out which program holds the directory handle open yields poptray.exe I think you'll find most applications behave like this, including Outlook, Thunde...

I have noticed the same thing, and have had to restart PopTray on several occasions as a workaround.

Outlook may be re-timestamping the emails when it downloads them, while PopTray is just looking at the email while it is on the mailserver.

Re: Email timestamps are one hour ahead

PopTray doesn't do any timestamping of the emails - that's done by by your mailserver.

I'd suggest maybe the clock on your ISP's mailserver is out by one hour...

I'm using PopTray 3.2 beta 4 on XP Pro SP2, and hibernate my laptop once or twice per day, and have never noticed any issues.

I'd suggest upgrading to the latest beta, and see if that resolves your problems.

I think I found why PopTray was issuing its "Uneven size in DecodeToStream" error message. The message was spam with a MIME part containing a GIF file encoded using Base64. It was 8,407 characters long so it isn't a multiple of 4 octets (which I saw in another post here is the expected modulo). Tha...

PopTray 3.2beta4 failing to show preview

While previewing an email recently, PopTray threw an error, but I failed to read the details before acknowleging the error. When I next attempted to preview an email, I got the following error: http://martybugs.net/temp/pt_1.png As I couldn't get PopTray to preview any more emails, I attempted to re...

This happens because the Base64 data in the message is invalid. Base64 data should always be a mulitple of 4. The code that handles this in Indy, so I can't easily fix it. I am now ( PopTray 3.2 (beta 3) ) just ignoring the error when I encounter it. After upgrading to beta4, I can confirm PopTray ...

IMO - It is better than PopTray not starting due to a lack of availability of the path to the desired ini file (file not found error). IMO, it's better to fail to start, with an appropriate descriptive error, rather than starting with the default (and in this case, the wrong) INI file. Cheers, Mart...

I have tried all the links, still get nothing but the 13KB html file. When opening it says it's not a Windows32 application.
Try downloading directly from this link (New York sourceforge download site for PopTray installer).

Re: downloaded file doesn't open ?

I just downloaded what I thought was "PopTray310.exe". The file only shows 13 kbs and is impossible to open or install. It looks like you downloaded this link directly (ie, right-click, save link as), as it's exactly 13kb. However, that's not actually the file you want....it's a webpage with downlo...
