Yes, I have it set to "localhost". Changing it to 127.0.0.1 seems to have no effect. Also, when I hit my hotkey to check all accounts, (cntl+alt+c, in my case), I see the poptray lightninng bolt come on and also spampal's umbrella systray icon becomes active, so I know they're talking to each other....

Simple Rule Isn't Working

Poptray 3.1, SpamPal 1.588, W2K SpamPal is configured to place the string "SPAM!!" {without quotes) in the subject line, which it is doing just fine. I have a Poptray rule which reads SUBJECT Contains SPAM!! mark as spam. But this isn't happening, for some reason. The rule is enabled, new messages o...

In my case, they aren't coming from yahoo accounts; they're coming from God knows where. In one case, it appears the offending spam originated in Spain. Again, I repeat my offer to either post or forward these problematic email(s) for analysis. This problem happened again today (4 such spams) and ba...

Yes, I am seeing this as well. PopTray 3.0.2 on Win2K. Yes, I have write permissions to my Poptray directory; I'm able to modify the timeout value from 120 to 180 and see the change reflected in the poptray.ini file. I don't see a poptray.customize file. Should I?

I had this problem today, too. PopTray 3.0.2 on Win2k, running downstream from SpamPal 1.53. It seemed to be related to about 4 similar spams with some very badly mangled headers. Opera's M2 could retrieve the emails as could OE 6. But PopTray gave up with the subject message. After retrieving all m...

Yes, it certainly is. Set your incoming server to 127.0.0.1. Better yet, get spampal installed and use that as a proxy. Use poptray to delete the spam that spampal identifies. Then set your incoming server in M2 back to your ISPs mail server and download the stuff you actually want.
