T but I really recommend "Hotmail Popper". indeed, i'm using 2.1.1, the still free version ;-) works great with my mail-client (TheBat) and my mail-checker (MagicMailMonitor) ... yep, i went back to MMM for the time being ; i get the impression that PopTray is a bit slow compared to MMM on full inb...

not on my setup (Windows 2000 Pro SP4 with IE6 SP1 + all patches) ; installed beta 6 and it gives me a 'Socket error # 10061' ... and nothing in the log.

if you have a fast CPU and CD-drive, it's not too bad ... it's a bit slower because all software is compressed, but it's workable.

CD-based Linux distros are a good, easy, and fast way to try out Linux and to see if your hardware is supported by Linux, but I've heard that they're a pain to use on a daily basis because your settings (email, printer, etc.) must be re-entered each time you boot. Not true ... Knoppix and MandrakeM...
