Have you also tried both Open and Preview; and configured the plugin to use either or both?

Also keep in mind that if PopTray does not load enough lines it may not be possible to render. If you have PopTray set to read only the first 50 lines, and that is all HTML, you will not see much text.

Hello I installed the plugin hoping it would work with a Yahoo account via YPops but as i saw here, it doesn't. Are you planning any improvements on it? I use it with FreePOPS with few problems (occasional crash I can't nail down). Does it use a port redirector? For example, I set to port 2000 and ...

What is it?

Now that this topic is sticky I suppose I should include a description of what this plug-in is for those new to PopTray, and if Renier can find some time to include it on the PopTray Plug-ins page. From the POP3HTML web site: I have extended PopTray (through the use of its plug-ins capability) to ha...

Version 1.1.0.2 POP3HTML released

I've been running version 1.1.0.2 on my system for a while. There are still some issues with it (exception error) that I cannot nail down, but it's stable enough for regular use. See the web site below for download and install instructions.

POP3 HTML

My plug-in is not listed as official, but if it's useful, you can find it at my site below. It converts HTML e-mails to plain text. I've completed an installer for it and should be posting an update soon.

I probably used v10 of Indy, so I'll try v9 when I take a look at the plugin again.

That certainly appears to point at the plugin. You say you see it when you "Check" the mail? and not when you "Open" the mail, correct? The way the plugins work is to allow a bit of extra work without redoing everything. That means for some parts, the main PopTray is actually do the work, with the p...

freepops

I just checked and they are also NOT on http://www.freepops.org either. :( I don't use myway.com myself, but freepops supports the webmail accounts that I do use.

hmm

So you are saying that there was some sort of access violation during checking, but when you closed PopTray and re-opened it work fine? Or did you leave the plugin disabled. If you left it disabled, and you re-enable the plugin after restarting PopTray, do you still see the a/v? and if so, what were...

That's fine, now any one reading this topic will know both solutions. I have seen that myself where I know a program is loaded, yet no icon. I then have to run from a shortcut to re-activate the program, then shut it down, and reload it again to show the icon. Now I know I'm not the only one, and yo...

customize

Going one step further, click on CUSTOMIZE, and click on the PopTray item, and change the BEHAVIOR to "Always Show". (Note that the Name will change based on PopTray's current status, so it may not show up as "PopTray"). Click on Ok, and Ok to save. Also note for the above, that if you right-click o...

Glad it helped.

Some people like to leave e-mail messages on the server for a few days as a form of backup, or if they check the same account from multiple computers.

I'm just explaining why I won't be adding my marker to frappr. That is certainly your call, and I won't try to convince you otherwise. I don't worry myself too much about javascript and cookies, as I use FireFox, and the cookies get cleaned out regularly. For privacy reasons, your frappr informatio...

Frappr map of PopTray users

Would anybody be interested in setting up a map of PopTray users using http://www.frappr.com/ ? This web site uses Google Maps and allows people to add their location and a greeting/picture. I would set it up myself, but I would think KY Dave or Renier should be the ones controlling it. (the adminis...

still a risk

I think there is still a security issue if you use the Open feature in the 3.2 beta. If your e-mail client has security holes you would be at risk. For example, if you open an HTML message using Outlook Express , and you haven't patched all of its scripting holes, like this one ... Of course, if you...
