Some people have very fast connections to their mail server and it doesn't matter if the mail gets downloaded twice. Exactly; I am connected to the internet via ADSL and there is no performance hit for me when PopTray and K9 do their job. Invisibly in the background 50+ spams are deleted every day....

Bruno, could you please explain your technique in a little more detail? I don't see any option to set up a rule like the one you described for base64. I also checked before PopTray got the chance, but I simply disabled checking at startup.

If I am near the PC when it boots, I check it manually
If I am not I can wait for the autocheck anyway...

When I uninstalled the plugin, and started PopTray again (I closed PopTray when I uninstalled) then I get a "incompatibel plugin" error. I found that in poptray.ini information about the hotmail account, which I deleted from poptray, was still present. Why is it not removed? Reniers fault or the plu...
