Email has been sent.

If you can't reproduce with the attached email, I can setup a test email box on my mailserver, and can copy the bad email into that mailbox, so you can access it via pop3.

Martin.

DecodeToStream failing with "Uneven size" error

While attempting to preview an email in my inbox, I get the error shown in the screenshot below: http://martybugs.net/temp/pt_uneven.png The email causing this error is definitely a spam email (spamassassin has tagged it), but PopTray shouldn't fail to display the email..... I can provide a copy of ...

Inconsistent handling of non-existent dates

I've noticed PopTray handles non-existent date headers inconsistently. One of the Australian banks internet banking service sends out notification emails without a "Date:" header, and this seems to confuse PopTray. The emails show up with a blank date in PopTray's main window, but when previewing a ...

Re: Mozilla's browsers global usage share is still growing

Mozilla's browsers have a total global usage share of 11,51 percent. The total usage share of Mozilla increased 2.82 percent since April 2005. Microsoft's Internet Explorer still dominates the global browser market with a global usage share of 85,45 percent which is 1.18 percent less as at the end ...

Will this work in your email clients?
Nope, Thunderbird doesn't understand MSG files either (but apparently Thunderbird handles mbox files).

It looks like there's not a standard file format for messages...

If you don't see a OPEN WITH option, try holding down shift while right-clicking the file. I tried it now with Outlook, but it seems Outlook doesn't know how to open a .eml file with this default method. Outlook Express was associated with .eml files on my PCs, even though Thunderbird is my default...

3.2b1: floating point timer intervals not working

From Reiner's list of changes for 3.2b1: (*) Allow floating-point numbers for timer intervals (half minutes). However, timer intervals are still being rounded to whole numbers. To reproduce: -go to "options" tab -go to "interval" in tree view -specify floating point number in timer interval text box...

Re: PopTray 3.2b1 problem more

While I don't use hotkeys, I agree that PopTray 3.21b1 seems a lot less responsive to mouse clicks when it's busy, compared to 3.20. For example, if I open PopTray, then delete an email from a largish mailbox, then immediately try to minimise PopTray to the systray, it responds much slower than 3.20...

It still works for me.

Another problem I identified is that the label for "Enable Quick Checking" is being trucated, with the latter half of the last "g" mostly not visible.

Thanks for your effors, Reiner.

Its really odd that you can't find an uninstall. I have one in the directory itself.. one in the Start Menu item for Poptray and one in Windows Add/Remove. That depends how it was "installed". If installed using the provided installer, it should do all of the above. If, however, it was "installed" ...

In general, I think PopTray doesn't play well with other software that's accessing the Internet. For the past few years, I've noticed that if I'm downloading a piece of software, when PT does its autocheck, my software download locks up and I have to start it all over again. Hmm....I've been using ...

Re: Bug: Stealing focus when updating system tray icon

I can't reproduce this when using IrfanView in full-screen mode, and PopTray updates the systray icon when a new email comes in.

IrfanView remains full-screen for me.

Martin.

I have a problem with my Linux server that connecting to POP3/IMAP4 is very slow (30+ seconds). ..... PS . If anybody knows how to solve my Linux slow connection problem, I will be VERY grateful.
