Re: HTML 4.01 Validation

The thread topic mentions "HTML 4.01", but the image you're using is "HTML 4.0".....

Why not add a CSS validation icon too....as per the W3C CSS validator.

Martin.

Re: delete-confirm window doesn't remember it's position

It looks like the delete confirmation message is always centred on the screen, which is the default behaviour for any message box, and which is how most applications display message boxes.

Re: Seemingly major bug with email deletion in 3.0.2

For some reason, when I retrieve a message and view it with PopTray, poptray takes upon itself the duty of automatically deleting that message not only from my mail server but also in the poptray message list. Some very critical messages have vanished on me due to my "I'll read this later" attitude...

Re: Virtual Private Network

Is there a way for me to have it work with the VPN connected? I'm guessing your VPN client isn't allowing split tunnelling, so it's routing all your network traffic through the VPN, and your corporate firewall is blocking access to your ISP's mailserver (or your ISP's mailserver only allows POP3 co...

Rather than having to check multiple folders, just run "msconfig". msconfig will show all applications configured to autostart, and allow them to be disabled, whether they are in the "all users" or individual user's startup folder, or in the HKLM "run" registry key, the HKCU "run" registry key, etc....

I have "safe delete (using uidl)" enabled already, and in my experience, it only matches the email when deleting, not previewing.

PopTray 3.1 beta 7 showing wrong emails

I had a situation this morning where double-clicking on an email in PopTray to view it resulted in the wrong email being displayed....it would display the email that was listed one above the email I had double-clicked. Forcing PopTray to re-check my account resolved the issue, so I'm not sure if I c...

I might look at getting the Uptime ScreenSaver to get info from PopTray.

A small bug with the "test account" functionality..... The text box used to display the connection info isn't read-only. Also, the font used for the "OK" button on the connection info form is different than the fonts used elsewhere in PopTray (it looks like Courier New instead of Arial). Cheers, Mar...

Re: Beta 9 doesn't remember sort order?

Beta 9 is superb, as usual. Two minor issues: In one of my accounts, PopTray doesn't remember that I want to use "Date minus" sorting. Every time I restart my machine, the messages in that account are displayed as "Date plus". I've noticed the same thing with beta9 on Win2K. It appears to be someth...

I use PopTray with Eudora, and haven't noticed any problems.

I'd guess it's a problem with the way Eudora is saving it's settings when you close Eudora - as far as I'm aware, it's definitely not caused by PopTray.

Martin.

Yup - it works as intended.

I just verified this by installing PopTray 3.0 (beta 7) on a PC which already had PopTray 3.0 (beta 7) installed, and it works fine.

However, I noticed it fails to shutdown PopTray if PopTray is in performing a mail check at that time.

Martin.

PopTray 3.0 (beta 7) failing to close running PopTray

From Renier's PopTray 3.0 (beta 7) announcement : (+) Installer: Close running PopTray before installation. I'm assuming this means the installer will (try to) shutdown PopTray before installation. When attempting to install this version, the installer status window displayed the following: Output f...
