Hi Dave, thx for promoting my little experimental program. :)

I still use it to see what my rules are doing but i stopped further development because i would like to see it as a poptray plugin.

Since the plugin mechanism is still a big secret for me i did not restart the project.

Assistance needed for translation.

Since Poptray is becoming so perfect lately i decided to pay some extra attention to the translation file i usually send to Renier. I have a couple of words i am not able to translate correctly. I post the results of the language checker for these cases. Maybe other translators/user can help me. Whe...

I have the same experience (already before PT 3) and contacted my domain hosting provider about it. Whenever my mailclient (pocomail) is downloading mail from the exim mailserver this process is stopped when Poptray "knocks" on the door. The provider assured me that the exim server can handle simult...

How to translate in an easy way?

I would like to hear from other translators what methods are used to translate the ptlang file. I import both the new ptlang file and the my 'old' native language file in excel, so that there are 3 columns. Then i manually insert blank cells for the new entries (which is a lot of boring work). After...

While reading this topic (especially renier's explaination) i remember a very interesting article on rewriting software.

On an other discussion forum someone mentioned it, i think it is also nice to link to it from here.

Sad news indeed... I never heard of him but after getting curious reading your post i did some surfing. (and indeed his name equals the dutch word kerkorGel) I found out also he did record together with Stef Bos, who is a dutch artist. The SA connection is described at http://www.stefbos.nl/welkom.h...

I am behind a firewall......

I found out it does not work then because the needed port is blocked or something.
Maybe a more thorough explaination would be appropriate for the FAQ

PT 2.0 and 2.1b1 until 2.1b6 are uploaded to ilnebbioso's mirror site.
I guess he will make these files public after the weekend.

(even older beta versions 1.5 can be made available, post here if you want to have them)

Hi guys!! I am back from Italy and want you to tell something of the first poptray-minimeeting. As planned we went off the train in milan at 20.35 and near our track ilnebbioso was waiting for me with a poptray sign in his hands, so this could not be missed. Because of the long journey we had we dec...

I managed to reduce spam on my most polluted hotmail account by using their filter options.
By choosing the keywords (in the subject) with care i got rid of 85% of the spam mail.
These words could be used in PT as well, so in case one of my pop accounts becomes a target i am prepared. :)

Within 2 or 3 weeks i probably will be in Milan (vanzaghello) Of course i am there for business so i doubt if any time is left for private visits. BTW ilNebbioso, can you tell me th...

Well ilNebbioso , i took the challenge. Here is a short description of some programs i use frequently. As you can see most of them are freeware. In real life i never met anyone who uses them , so i am curious if there are any people in this community wo do. Or maybe some of you have even better alte...
