New Guest Article: How To Clone Windows...

My September 19, 2005, Journal entry described how I had chosen to buy and use Image For DOS software to make backups of my entire Windows 98 SE system. In response, PopTray's friend, rdsok (Randy), wrote a post in my Forums , describing the method that he uses to make backups of Windows 95/98/SE/ME...

phpBB v2.0.17 has been released

Tonight, the phpBB group released v2.0.17 of their free phpBB forum software, which, as expected, included security updates and bug fixes. After downloading the "Changed Files Only" package, it took less than 25 minutes to update my forums to the new version, carefully reinstall one "MOD" that had b...

DON'T install AVG Free July 15, 2005 Update on Win98/ME

If your computer is running Windows 98, 98SE or Windows ME, along with Grisoft's AVG Free antivirus software, DO NOT install the July 15, 2005, AVG update. It has known issues that will cause "blue screens of death" and prevent your computer from starting up normally. Hopefully, Grisoft will release...

Why exhume this dead thread after 4 months of no activity? By now, everyone has already made up their minds about whether they want to use Copernic or not. We don't really need someone to continue posting everything that ever gets published about Copernic. This thread has both a living will and a Do...

Hmm....I've been using PopTray for a couple of years, and have never had any issues like that, on any of the PCs I've used PopTray on. Cheers, Martin. I'm sure that a lot of people either don't have the problem that I have with PT, or they don't notice it, maybe because they're on broadband connect...

You have made your suggestion,
maybe some will use OUTCLOCK, some will not,
there is no reason to continue to debate which is better.

Let users decide by trying.

In general, I think PopTray doesn't play well with other software that's accessing the Internet. For the past few years, I've noticed that if I'm downloading a piece of software, when PT does its autocheck, my software download locks up and I have to start it all over again. So, I always try to reme...

A novice - and many novices will use this program now that MS bought it - will probably act fast and think later when they see programs like tightvnc in the list... I almost did... I agree with those who say that novices would not even know what TightVNC is, and so they certainly would not intentio...

You guys are playing with fire when it comes to copyrights. Renier, even if you assume that the site that Bruno copied that photo from doesn't own the copyright to it, that doesn't excuse or justify allowing Bruno to post that copyrighted image in these forums. Apparently your mothers didn't teach y...
