Randy, Wow :!: When it comes to looking for a solution to a problem, you're even more of a pitbull than I am :!: :!: Nope, I had not seen that last solution, so I'm glad you pointed it out. Unfortunately, even though I ran every step to register, then unregister the dll, then delete extend.dat, then...

Ok CB, I've only got one other thing that you could try. You've probably tried this also.. but since I don't know everything that you've done, it can't hurt if I mention it. Thanks again :D , but unfortunately, that's one of the things that I tried several times, and each time I ran that com...

Hi Randy, I really appreciate all the time and effort that you've put into trying to figure out this problem with me, but I've already tried all of the things you suggested several times (except for the one that requires programming). According to the AVG Free forums, the dll that I mentioned earlie...

Thanks for the info, Randy! Yes, I have those same AVG Free Registry entries in Win98SE. If I tried to check the AVG Outlook Exchange plug-in box in Outlook itself, I received an error message, telling me that avgxch32.dll was not installed. I found avgxch32.dll file in my AVG folder, but not in Win...

Hi Randy, I'm using Outlook 2000 with PopTray, running under Win98SE. When I first installed AVG Free, it automatically installed the Outlook plug-in, and also automatically installed the AVG email client, which I did not want. Every time I tried to use PopTray, the AVG email client would contact my...

I've been using AVG Free (AVG 7.0 Free) for the past week, but on my Web site, I'm recommending that people wait as long as possible to upgrade to it, to give Grisoft as much chance as possible to solve its problems. The AVG Free support forums contain many, many complaints of AVG Free's bugs, missi...

Hey Dave, Maybe he works in the bicycle factory, and he fell onto a partially assembled frame on the assembly line (which pierced his cheek) right before the robotic welders finished welding the frame together. Or maybe it's not really a bicycle. Maybe its some sort of bicycle-looking gum tumor caus...

The answer to the earlier photo called "How'd He Do It?"

Apparently that post was lost when Renier's server crashed, but it showed a man who had the frame of a bicycle going through his right cheek.

Here's that photo, along with its explanation:

This is probably why so many of them falsified their management accounting with the result that thousands of persons lost billions dollars. When we thought they had good managers, they had specialists to pass off investors. That's a pretty simplistic theory. Running a business involves risk, and mo...

I know you're trying very hard to trying to be a source of news source to these forums, but once again, everything that you're saying is old news. Governments and any company worth its salt knew about IPv6, Internet telephony, and their many ramifications years ago -- the reason governments have tro...

The news is that IPv6 implementations are being developed for many different host operating systems and routers and that, among other "intelligent objects", home telephone, using IP address, il already a realty that will spread in the very next years. :o Sorry, but all of that was news several year...

ICANN has been elaborating that "new" technology for the past several years. I taught my networking students about IPv6 at least 3 or 4 years ago, and people have been making jokes about refrigerators having their own IP addresses for at least that long. So what makes it news now? :?:

More than 20 years ago, when I took a course called Tech 152, that type of situation was called a "technology trap" -- living in such a way that your life completely depends on technology that could fail at any time.

Re: the user review by Andy313, I hate to keep harping on this, but I don't know who Andy313 is; he's not an employee of CNET, and his review is simply the opinion of one user. Like I've said before, I've read that same type of glowing review about all kinds of spyware and malware in the past, so I ...

Bruno, I'm not criticizing your choice of sources for your information. It's just that, personally, I've never heard of SearchEngineWatch.com, and I don't know what, if any relationship SearchEngineWatch.com (a marketing Web site) has with the company that publishes Copernic. For all I know, Coperni...

A Google search of "Copernic" and "spyware" reveals that earlier versions of Copernic indeed included spyware. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=copernic+spyware I only did a quick search of a few trusted sites (PCPitStop.com and Wilders.org), and many folks in their forums are using Cop...

To make a non-item even more complicated there also seems to be a miss america contest. From their website i learned that contestants should be US citizens. Confused?? Just for the record, Vitoco, nothing you wrote about the World Series, etc. offended me. I knew you were joking, and many professional comedians make their livings pointing out those same types of oddities. But notice how quickly your joking evolved into Bruno's flaming attack. That's the onl...
