I've detected strange things while updating "Spanish (Chile).ptlang". A greater than symbol (>) was introduced somewhere at the beggining of the following lines:

Code: Select all

>From (address)=De (dirección)
>From (name)=De (nombre)
I did not send that to Renier, but it is in the package. :o

The following line is duplicated in language.ptlang and blank.ptlang:

Code: Select all

New Mail=
It was introduced in 3.0 beta 1 and again in beta 14.

Italian ptlang sent to Renier without the "New Mail" message into b14 section.

Yes, the ">From" is cause by sometimes caused by my email client that does that when saving the message. It's only happened in the following languages Finnish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Chile), Swedish.

To prevent this from happening, please zip the translations file before sending it.

The ones marked "Recent" I'm still waiting for a beta 14 update. My email has been acting very weird lately, so if you have already sent it, please try one of my other email addresses.

Zipped Spanish (Chile) ptlang sent. If you have mail problems, you can get it directly from http://www.inf.utfsm.cl/~vparada/poptray/ ...

I think that some time ago I mentioned that the language list in the about tab is not being translated. Is this possible?

New hidden words

Post by homaquebec » Tue Sep 23, 2003 3:34 pm

When I check for new mail, in the mail window of an account, after some operations, down, at right, an abreviation (msg. ?) and the word "ignored" appear. I add, in the ptlang file, different ways of writing the abreviated word and translated it. "ignored" was already translated but since I dit not know where it appeared, it was not tranlated the way I wanted. Now, everything seems OK even if "ignored" is not maybe translated the right way because I am not really sure about its meaning.

Bruno, I translated it to spanish as "ign." instead of "ignorado", just because its message box is too short. That word is only used there, so I believe that it is secure tho change that to whatever you think is ok.

BTW, since beta 14, the number of ignored messages is the amount of displayed messages that are not in the new messages counter, i.e., the number of displayed messages that your rules said to ignore. If you are not hidding previously seen messages, it counts the total messages with gray icon...

Renier, did you email to the previous volunteers? Probably, many of them are still using version 2.1 :|

Another question: will you remove the "beta NN" text from comments inside ptlang files? If not, I'll remove it from my translation and send it again. Just a cosmetic issue...

I finally found the right way to translate the abreviation and the way that pleases me to translate "ignored". Maybe my ptlang file will be polluted because I dont know what the abreviation is exactly. I wrote it in four different ways and translated them by the same word. I know that it was for "message.", but what exactly? If I could find it, I would clean my file. Vitoco, can you help me please?

Thanks,

I cleaned my ptlang file. I soon as I will have received at least two messages (a good one and a spam one), I will see if everything satisfies me. :P

Sent to Renier the Italian ptlang updated (beta 15).
Renier, I think you should now reset the ** OK ** to "recent" for whom who didn't send you the b15 updated ptlang file.

I still haven't receive the Polish file though. Shadow XIII, did you send it to a *@poptray.org address? Seems some messages are still going astray. Please send to my forum email address and we'll see.

Hopefully the translation file wont change again before release. I'm going to leave the "OK" in the list as is. Translators are also welcome to remove any (beta) mention from the comments, since this will become the language file in PopTray 3.0.
