Hi,

I like to setup some filter rules in Poptray. I need to know if the rules understand operators like OR, AND ....

For example, I want delet all messages on the Serverside when they have Words in the body like Viagra OR viagra OR Sex ......

Must I setup a rule for each word?

Exists a Bayesan Filter Plugin which analyze the Mails?

Much thanks

Probably, your best bet would be to take a look at this thread:

You're thinking of boolean operators, and the answer is yes. Poptray supports the AND, OR and NOT operators. The "All Rows" option is equivalent to an AND statement, while the "Any Row" option is equivalent to an OR statement. The "Not" checkbox is self-descriptive.

But who needs boolean operators when you can use regular expressions ? They have very powerful search capabilities, and in fact, are sometimes the only solution for conducting very complex searches.

Vitoco has written an excellent guide to regular expressions which can be found at viewtopic.php?t=1626

No there is NOT a "Bayesan Filter Plugin".

I use K9 which is a Bayesan Filter Program that works well with PopTray. You can find a link to K9 in my signature if you are interested. There are numerous threads about the setup for K9 and it's use on this forum.
