PopTray 3.2 (beta 1)

Post by Renier » Mon Jul 04, 2005 6:07 pm

PopTray 3.2 (beta 1) released.

After a long time of no new releases, I have again released a beta version of PopTray.

There aren't any major changes in this version though. The biggest change was more technical: I now use the Indy 10 components instead of the Indy 9 components. Hopefully this will solve some small bugs people were getting. The source code is now also compilable with Delphi 2005.

This version also always some simple skin support. If you don't like the current glyphs you can change them by editing "skin.bmp" and renaming the file as "PopTray.skin".

Changes
(+) Customizable glyphs (skin).
(+) Added new rules exe macro: %FROMADDRESS%
(+) Translations Added: Greek, Valencian
(*) Updated to Indy 10.0.52
(*) Installer: Updated to NSIS 2.07
(*) Allow floating-point numbers for timer intervals (half minutes).
(-) Fixed bug where notify plugin was called unnecessary.
(-) Plugins were not properly initialized after a plugin Refresh.

I have a proxy that filter the type of files that can pass through.

Or else, do you have a trick that allow me to "jump" over the proxy? ;)

I'm very happy you're still thinking to this project. I was afraid you were thinking to close it.
But, now I'm looking forward again for another Beta after this 3.2b1. Thank you!

I just hope that Indy 10 is not a step backwards. It seems like the new beta is less responsive than PopTray 3.1.

I can't spend as much time on PopTray as I would like, but the project is not dead.

Hey, you're still alive ilNebbioso? Great. I imagined that being a parent just sucked you dry from energy until you collapsed. Everything well with kid and wife?

PopTray dead? PopTray is open source, so hopefully someone else will continue Reniers great work if he decides to concentrate his time and energy on running around in South Africa dressed up as SpiderMan.

Thank you Renier for your work!

Hello! all,

I am not the most active user on the forum but I'm still alive and using PopTray since the begining!

See you later!
