Impossible to delete already readed messages

Post by Riva » Mon Nov 21, 2005 12:34 pm

Hello,

I have the last Beta 2 version. After notification of arrival a new message I open outlook express by clicking corresponding button on poptray window,I read my message and close OE and Poptray. However all readed messages still exist in poptray window and cannot be delete automatically. Can you help me to resolve this problem?
Thanks and kind regards.

Try doing a SHIFT+CHECK to make sure the messages are still there. This will make PopTray do a COMPLETE CHECK and not just a QUICK CHECK.

Exit PopTray, NOT MINIMIZE, then RESTART and CHECK AGAIN.

If the messages are still there, then MANUALLY MARK FOR DELETION the messages and click CHECK.

If they are still there then...

are you using an anti-virus program to scan incoming email? You may have to look in those programs APPLICATION DATA directories.

Also make sure that "Leave messages on server" is unchecked in Outlook Express.

"Leave messages on server" is unchecked in Outlook Express was the solution.

Glad it helped.

Some people like to leave e-mail messages on the server for a few days as a form of backup, or if they check the same account from multiple computers.
