PopTray for Windows Mobile 5 (Smartphone) ?

Post by xiris » Sat Mar 11, 2006 2:12 pm

Hi,

PopTray would be the ultimate tool for a Smartphone.
What would be needed to have PopTray running on Windows Mobile 5.0?

I've no experience in programmind Dephi, so please have mercy if this is a ridiculous question.

TIA,
xiris

Have you tried installing PopTray on a Smartphone?

AFAIK - PopTray will work with most versions of Windows.

If you give it a try, then let us know what happens.

Hello,

No, this will not work. Windows Mobile needs special binaries, there are even different binaries for PocketPC and for Smartphones. There are still not too many apps for Smartphones, I don't even know a different mailer other than Windows own.

I have not heard about compiling within Delphi for Windows Mobile, so I believe a full port to another programming language/compiler ("eMbedded Visual C++") would be needed.

Regards,
Thorsten
