Annoying Connection Error on resume from standby/hibernate

Whenever my laptop resumes form standby or hibernate PopTray pops up a Connection Error. Very annoying.

There is already a "Check for New Mail on Startup" with a "Wait XXX Seconds" option. I strongly suggest to make this option also effective for resume from standby/hibernate.

You could just enable the "Ignore connection errors" option.

I think this is occurring because it may take a couple of seconds for the computer to get back on the net and in PopTray's eyes, somehow a large amount of time has passed since the last check, so it checks immediately.

Thanks for pointing me at this work-around. But nevertheless, the problem should be fixed.

Yeah, that would be a great idea.

PopTray 3.2 (beta 5) now disables auto-checking when the PC suspends and then re-enables it when it wakes up.

Not sure if this will help with the problem.

imap4rev (c-client) - won't ignore connection errors

The Imap4rev1 plugin by S. Schuberth doesn't seem to respect the "ignore connection errors" option. When I resume from hibernate, the POP3 plugin doesn't give any errors, but the IMAP one does. I have "ignore connection errors" checked in PopTray 3.1 preferences.

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in plugin development.

I suggest you try the newest PopTray 3.2 (beta 5), as Renier stated in the post above yours, that PopTray "disables auto-checking when the PC suspends and then re-enables it when it wakes up", so that might solve your problem.
