PopTray hangs when recovering from hibernation

with my laptop, I use hibernation, so when closing the lid, it goes to hibernation mode, and when lifting the lid, it recovers.
On some occations, PopTray does not recover properly. When moving the mouse over PopTray, the mouse pointer turns into an hourglass, and seems stuck.
In such occations, all I can do is to kill the PopTray process from the task manager and then start it again.
I use PopTray 3.1 with XP Pro SP2

I'm using PopTray 3.2 beta 4 on XP Pro SP2, and hibernate my laptop once or twice per day, and have never noticed any issues.

I'd suggest upgrading to the latest beta, and see if that resolves your problems.

Cheers,
Martin.

Try using the IGNORE CONNECTION and RETRIEVE ERRORS options.

In PopTray on the OPTIONS TAB, ADVANCED OPTIONS, check the box for IGNORE CONNECTION ERRORS.

In PopTray on the OPTIONS TAB, ADVANCED OPTIONS, check the box for IGNORE RETRIVE ERRORS.

SAVE OPTIONS, QUIT PopTray and RESTART for changes to take effect.

I already had these boxes checked. It must be something else.

I'm guessing that PopTray is connecting to an email scanner of some sort, and it is waiting on a response from it.

I would try lowering the amount of time in PopTray's OPTION TAB, ADVANCED OPTIONS, Connection Timeout [ ] Seconds.

It won't stop PopTray from 'hanging' but it should lower the amount of time it takes before PopTray returns to normal functioning.

Thank you KY Dave,
I'll try it.
