PopTray 3.0 (beta 7) failing to close running PopTray

From Renier's PopTray 3.0 (beta 7) announcement:
Renier wrote:(+) Installer: Close running PopTray before installation.
I'm assuming this means the installer will (try to) shutdown PopTray before installation.

When attempting to install this version, the installer status window displayed the following:
Output folder: C:\Program Files\PopTray
Skipped: PopTray.exe
Closing existing PopTray
Skipped: PopTray.exe
Skipped: PopTray.exe
Skipped: PopTray.exe
Can't close existing PopTray
and then displayed a dialog saying
Error opening file for writing
C:\Program Files\PopTray\PopTray.exe"
Hit abort to abort installation,
retry to retry writing the file, or
ignore to skip the file
I had this when attempting to upgrade my PopTray 3.0 (beta 6) install on Win2K Pro to beta 7, and thought I'd try out this new functionality.

Cheers,
Martin.

This is new funtionality in PopTray 3.0 (beta 7), and would only work if beta 7 or later is the version running. Unfortunately the installer won't quit a running copy of beta 6. To test it have beta 7 running, and then try to re-install it.

It should be fine for future releases of PopTray.

Yup - it works as intended.

I just verified this by installing PopTray 3.0 (beta 7) on a PC which already had PopTray 3.0 (beta 7) installed, and it works fine.

However, I noticed it fails to shutdown PopTray if PopTray is in performing a mail check at that time.

Cheers,
Martin.
