ERROR: Connect Error: no such message

Post by larry » Thu Jul 24, 2003 2:41 pm

Am recieving this error whenever there is email on the server. Only option is to click "OK". PopTray then shows no messages on the server, even though there are messages there. Tripple checked accounts tab to verify all info entered is exactly correct.

Wonderful program Renier! This is the most fully featured email utility I've ever run across and I've been using it for years. Love it!

Its sort of the same problem I have. It started when my hosting provider upgrade is mail software from IMail to SmarterMail on POP3.

larry have you tried IMAP instead of POP3?

the problem isn't specific to the 3.0 beta. i reverted back to 2.1 and the error remains. also, although there is a mail icon in the main poptray window, there is never a subject, sender, size or any other header info displayed in the Mail coloums. Funny thing is, you can still preview the mail.

also, this problem started when we changed our host as well.

same here, 2.1 did the same. so its has to do with our mail server and what its passing to poptray.

Renier any help here? I can provide you an email account so you can see for yourself....

Unfortunately I don't have the time to check this. Maybe the server doesn't support the TOP command, or something like that.
