Beta 9 doesn't remember sort order?

Post by Edward Mendelson » Thu Jul 31, 2003 5:17 pm

Hello Renier,

Beta 9 is superb, as usual. Two minor issues:

In one of my accounts, PopTray doesn't remember that I want to use "Date minus" sorting. Every time I restart my machine, the messages in that account are displayed as "Date plus".

Also, Del Spam is still grayed out. Is there anything I can do to get it back??

Best wishes,

Del Spam is only enalbed if there are spam messages. Does it become enabled when you siwthc accounts?

My fault - I think the "spam" problem is my fault: I somehow never made a rule for SpamPal that would let PopTray mark as spam the messages that SpamPal had already marked as Spam - and I managed to get myself confused about this. The DelSpam option in PopTray probably works perfectly - I'll just wait until another spam arrives and test it then.

Meanwhile, just ignore the DelSpam question - and my apologies for not thinking this through.

Yes - DelSpam works as advertised. The problem was user idiocy, not anything in the code. Someday there'll be a program that fixes user idiocy, but I don't think it's possible with current technology....!

For me the problem is confirmed on both Win98SE and WinXpPro.

I've noticed the same thing with beta9 on Win2K.

It appears to be something newly introduced in beta9.

Cheers,
Martin.
