Help me get rid of viagra!

Post by omeyas » Tue Apr 26, 2005 5:49 pm

New to this, so bear with me! I thought I thought I had set the filtering up correctly, but even though I have words like "viagra", "software" etc selected, they still keep coming through. :x Any advice or ideas as to what I could be doing wrong.

At least when it comes to the "Viagra" problem, there's an excellent RegExp (by vitoco) to be found this special thread:
(see page 2 onwards)

Maybe some of the RegExp specialists here can provide some more examples for the most annoying catch words.

Make sure of your RULE CRITERIA. It should be CONTAINS not EQUALS.

If you are using a WILDCARD, then there must be an asterik at the begining and at the ending of your comparison text. An example -> *viagra*

Regex for most medications

Post by lemming » Wed Apr 27, 2005 9:24 am

Hi, I'm already using a few regex which cover most medication spam, including viagra, cialis, etc. They've worked fine for me so far.

You can refer to them here:
