A few problems

Post by Libbekloo » Thu Sep 21, 2006 5:53 pm

Hello!

1. When opening some e-mails from one of my three boxes, this fails and instead an error message comes up:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime error c:\.....\poptray.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Etc...

I reinstalled Vbasic runtime 6 latest, but with no improvement. Also reinstalled latest poptray 3.2, no improvement

2. Some e-mails from any of my mail accounts are shown in that terrible HTML-code - 5 pages or so of code text. This is not due to that I have not clicked on Body - these mails is shown like this in both views. Also, some mails are partly shown in code and partly correct.

3. The function to preview first x lines doesn't seem to work. The whole mail is always opened, not just some lines?´

I have XP pro as platform

I'm not sure why you thought that would help - PopTray is a delphi application, not a visual basic application...

Cheers,
Martin.

IMAP4rev1 and Hotmail, they are active.

Do you know any cause of problem 2.?

PopTray does NOT render HTML.
It will show the URLs.

POP3 HTML Plug-in for your "terrible" problem

A member of this forum, Richard Sleegers, has written a plugin, POP3 HTML Plug-in, to handle HTML e-mails by removing the tags, but leaving links intact while Previewing with PopTray.

More information and downloading.

Thanks, your answers solved a lot. Still the problem where Poptray shutsdown after a runtime error persists, when opening a certain mail from one of my two imap4 accounts.
