Windows 7 and hiding mails

Post by GeeBee » Mon Aug 02, 2010 6:48 pm

Have just tried Poptray with Win 7 and find that the viewed messages are not removed from the list after downloading (in Windows Live Mail). Also, the message number count in the notificstion area does not zero. Would be grateful for any help you can provide.
Thanks
Gerry

Poptray only shows what email's that are left on the server... if they are not removed from the server, they will be listed each time it is checked.

POP3 email ( the type of emai checker that Poptray actually is ) doesn't have a setting for viewed and unviewed email... if its in the Inbox, it is listed

Windows 7 & hiding mails

Thank you so much for your advice. I found that the initial setting for emails in Windows Live Mail was to retain the mails on the server for 14 days. Changing this setting resolved the problem. Thanks once again.
