Our email gets wiped out from server BEFORE we read it

First, thank you for a great product. We just seem to have one problem.

My wife and I have our own computers connected through the same router.
When I turn my PC on and PopTray indicates that I have a message in one of our accounts, then if I don't open my email account at that time, I encoumter a problem when my wife later turns on her PC. At that time, as soon as her PC is up, the mesaage is wiped out on the email server.
Naturally this is not good because we never got the chance to read the email.

Am I missing some special setting that should or should not be in place?

I doubt it's PopTray that is causing your problems.

More than likely it is the settings in your email clients, such as THUNDERBIRD, OUTLOOK or OUTLOOK EXPRESS (OE). Probably when your wife opens OE, it downloads the email and deletes it from the server, thus it's not there for your PC to download.

The way I would set them up is...

On the wife's PC, I would set the email client to LEAVE MESSAGES ON SERVER.

On your PC, I would set the email client to LEAVE MESSAGES ON THE SERVER FOR SEVEN DAYS.

That way both users would have a week to read any email that came in, then it would be deleted from the server after a week.
